The California Delta, or the Sacramento–San Joaquin River Delta, forms an expansive estuary and inland river delta in Northern California. The Delta is formed by the confluence of the San Joaquin and Sacramento rivers, lying east of where the two rivers empty into Suisun Bay.

The Delta is a fisherman’s paradise, teeming with not only striped bass, but also sturgeon, catfish, black bass, salmon and American shad.
