One of the challenges of being a medical professional is the increasing need for providing patients with rapid results to tests. In the past, tests for H pylori, or more correctly known as Helicobacter pylori, included the need to take samples in a biopsy and then to send the samples off to a lab for testing.
From this early beginning came in-facility types of testing that allowed for accurate results within the hospital or clinical setting, but there was still a time delay. This typically meant the doctors would not be able to provide the patient with information in a timely manner.
Now, with the use of specific H Pylori rapid test strips, it is possible to provide accurate information about the presence of H Pylori in one hour. This allows doctors to provide patients with the information they need in a small window of time, allowing for same day confirmation that the bacteria is or is not present in the patient.
Ease of Use
With top types of H Pylori rapid test systems, it is possible to test up to three different areas of the stomach with one testing strip. This not only saves the clinic or the hospital money in testing, but it also reduces the risk of human error in preparing the samples and in reading the results.
The test for the presence of H Pylori is completed with a simple visual read of the H Pylori rapid test strips. The presence of color changes on the reagent pad will indicate the presence of H Pylori while no color change indicates the absence. Additionally, there should be a control spot on the test strip that will change color during the test, verifying the reagent is active, and the test strip is effective.
