At Chromavision, we are ready to prepare your cinema project for theaters and film festivals when you choose DCP Packaging. Cinema now is digital, which offers the highest quality for image and sound, far better than DVD or Blu-Ray.
Digital movies can be screened without problems at all modern theaters. Movies on film are from a bygone era. Instead of having to make a print for each venue and transporting huge reels of film to all of them, DCP Packaging puts all the data your film needs for screenings on one small device.
Our technicians will put the audio, image and metadata files for your movie, short or trailer on a portable hard drive. That’s convenient for you and for the movie theater. We can do everything you need to get your cinema project ready for showing on the big screen. This includes color space conversions and converting color in YUV or RGB to XYZ.
We also use custom LUTs so that the color in your film will correlate to the way you want them to be presented. For example, skin tones, locales in a travel documentary and more be accurate or have vibrant color, if that’s what you want. Rest assured that our services support 5.1 surround audio.
We can also help you protect your creation from pirates by encrypting your hard drive by KDM. Our staff can further secure it by using digital technology to restrict the number of theaters that can screen it.
Among our projects have been the repackaging of “City of the Sun,” “Support the Girls,” “Nico 1988” and “Higher Power.” The films we have mastered include “Allegiance” and “Itzhak.”
Our studio is located in New York’s historic Radio Wave Building. Contact Chromavision to learn how our DCP Packaging can help you.
