Once you have toothpaste like a paste made, add a small amount of the diatomaceous earth to the mixture and mix it a bit longer.
Smear the paste onto the stain and cover it with a plastic bag or sheet of plastic. Tape the edges using duct tape and leave it sits for a day or two. The mixture will work to pull the oil up out of the concrete and lock it into the paste as the paste dries.
After a couple of days have passed, check the paste. Is it dry? If so, use a broom to sweep it up off of the surface. If not, cover it back up and let it sit until it is dry.
