A bowser is a trailer that is fitted to a tank that carries diesel, water, petrol, aviation fluids and other liquids. It is mostly used to provide fuel to machinery and plant units, water to animal feeding, flower watering, dust suppression, and welfare units. Overall, bowsers are needed in agricultural applications, construction sites and other industrial purposes.

How does diesel bowser work?

The bowser comes with a vent valve on top of the tank that needs to be opened to fill it. Remove the fill cap and use the diesel bowser pump to fill it. Once you are done filling, screw the fill cap back and close the vent valve. The fuel bowser has a Pressure Relief Valve that allows fumes created by pressure to escape the tank.
To pump the content out of the trailer, open the vent valve and then open the ball valve presented at the tank’s bottom. This will let the fuel flow to the pump, from which it will go to a trigger nozzle, using which you can fuel any equipment. As there are various pump options, the bowser’s operation will depend on the option you choose. Some bowsers come with filters between the pump and the trigger nozzle, which should be maintained.

What are the pump options?

There is a various range of hand pump and electric diesel bowser pump available, suiting different applications. Though hand pumps are cost-effective, electric pumps run continuously with a switch on and off system. No matter which pump you choose, they are strong, robust and facilitate smooth operation.
Whether you want to deliver fuels consistently or want a system for standard commercial use, you can get in touch with the experts to know the best-suited bowser for your application.
