A pallet is a form of packaging. Generally, it is composed of wood. It has a flat structure consisting of a base and a superstructure. Wood pallets are the product of pallet stock producers. They produce this for storage, stacking, transporting devices. To ensure the right sizes and related characteristics, companies employ a pallet cut off saw.

Types of Pallet Cut Off Saws

Cut off saws are tools with a suitable name. These circular saws feature blades with the express purpose of cross-cutting stocks at specific lengths and angles. They are available in different types including the following commonly available ones.

 * Chop: This lightweight, circular saw buoyed by a metal base, sits on a spring-loaded rotating arm.

 * Miter: This version sits on a hinged frame. It is more versatile than a Chop saw and capable of making precise angle cuts

 * Swing: This type of pallet cut off saw swings inverted overhead from a pivot.

 * Jump: This saw is located beneath the stock. The blade emerges from the cutting table to slice through the wood.

While several versions of pallet cut off saws are automatic, the majority are manual. The operator is responsible for positioning the pallet stock, making sure the material remains stationary, e.g., often using a clamp – and employing the mechanism to send the saw across the stock to produce the desired cut. Operators must take great care. Safety measures such as guards must always be in place to ensure no accidents occur. Above all, training in the equipment and in safety is essential to reduce the risk of any accident occurring.
