Among the numerous metals we carry is theAMS 5663. As an alloy 718, this particular product is a high strength specialty steel grade. It is a precipitation hardening alloy, and is able to age harden with the correct heat treatment procedures. It can also handle high heat and ductility, as much as 1,300 degrees Fahrenheit. When compared with many other nickel alloys, alloy 718 and AMD 5663 has excellent weldability and formability.
AMS 5663 itself is especially heat and corrosion resistant, and may be sold in several different forms. Often, our clients use this product for its resistance to stress rupture and creep, and oxidation resistance that can be as high as 1,800 degrees Fahrenheit. There are a number of other applications that can also benefit from AMS 5663.
