The Advantages of Testing the Bolted Joints That You Use in Your Factory

When you are using an abundance of certain parts in an industrial setting, such as bolted joints or other small parts, it only makes sense that you want to ensure that they are as reliable as possible. While it may sound like it can lead to a tremendous hassle, the fact of the matter is that bolted joint analysis is very necessary. There are many benefits of using this testing technique.

Easy to Use

Bolted joints are incredibly easy to use. They do not require any specialized methods such as welding to hold them together. They only need a torque wrench. However, there is also the matter of having such a high degree of usability that it can seem that testing is not needed. This is precisely the reason that it actually IS needed.

Flexible Use

Bolted joints are not permanent fixtures. They can be disassembled with ease and used again in other parts of a structure. This use and reuse is another reason why testing is needed. The structural strength may give way after too many uses and by analyzing the part, any deficiencies can be caught before an accident occurs.

Great Variety

There is no single size that the bolts measure nor is there any one material from which the bolts are made. This makes them great to be used in a wide array of situations. In fact, it also makes them necessary to undergo bolted joint analysis to ensure their safety and purpose of immediate use.
