Dodge is an American brand of auto manufacturers. It is currently owned by Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles. Once, inextricably linked to Dodge RAM trucks, it now operates without this division – RAM is currently a separate entity. To date, it has had several popular vehicles made in and for the American market. Among those that were sold in large volumes were the formerly popular
1. The Grand Caravan
2. The Journey
The Grand Caravan
This was easily the company’s best seller. A mini-van, it was family-friendly, easily spotted driving along the streets of Andover KS with Dodge. It was roomy, comfortable, and great for carrying lots of cargo. Best of all, it was very affordable. New or used, it has always been considered reliable.
The Journey
The Journey is a crossover. Like the Grand Caravan, it was the company’s most popular seller in its category. It was a family vehicle. It offered plenty of cabin space and had a very user-friendly infotainment system. What many families found attractive about the Journey was its price. For the times, it was unsurpassable.
The End of the Road for the Grand Caravan and the Journey
Although the Grand Caravan and Journey were popular in their categories, it was not enough for the company. In 2022, the vehicles were retired as Dodge focused its interest elsewhere. This era, like that of the Dodge RAM, was over. The company was returning to its roots. They were going to concentrate on the manufacture of muscle cars.
