  • The written description for deed – This is done because there are often no boundary markers on the actual property.

  • Setbacks and restrictions – This show any limits or problems with the property that may affect use and development of the location now or in the future.

  • Checking for floodplains – For houses in a floodplain, you will also receive a certificate of elevation. This will show the floor elevation, as well as lowest and highest elevations nearby.
