When you rent a living space anywhere, you’re going to have to deal with rules. It’s inevitable. However, when you rent off campus housing near UGA, you’ll find that the rules are much less restrictive than the rules you’ll find when living on campus. Here’s what you can expect when you live in a student apartment.

What Kinds of Rules Can You Expect From Student Apartments?

If you lived in a dorm room, you know that you had to deal with a seemingly endless list of rules and regulations. Student apartments are the total opposite. There’s no curfew, no guest limit, no “visiting hours,” no rules and regulations on what you can do. Of course, there are limits–you can’t make noise all night, destroy the property, or do anything that disturbs other residents. But if you’re minding your own business, you won’t have to deal with a RA showing up to put a stop to your fun.

This also means that you can leave any time you want. You can leave your apartment at eleven o’clock at night to hang out with your friends and come back at three in the morning. No one’s going to ask any questions or tell you that you can’t leave after a certain hour. If you’re not causing a disruption, you can make your own decisions.

Overall, you can expect some basic guidelines about having certain pets, keeping the noise down, and other rules you’d expect from an apartment. But other than that, you’re free to live your life however you choose.
